At Booking On The Net, we keep our product up to date as much as possible and get fixes into the system, below are a list of changes that happened on 14th March 2014.
Over the last couple of weeks we’ve been working hard on resolving some issues reported by either you or your customers. The areas we’ve been looking at are around customer registration, authentication and password management.
Let us explain what these changes are.
Fix for cancellation of overtime
There was an issue with cancelling overtime as the system would look for affected reservations starting from the time you clicked the button rather than just checking for reservations inside the duration of the overtime block. This meant that the system would have wanted to cancel more reservations that necessary. This has now been resolved and you will now be able to cancel overtime with only the reservations affected being cancelled.
Password reset after email change
There was an issue with password reset for users having a different email from username where the password reset email would have the wrong confirmation link in it. This has now been resolved.
Email change changes username to match
From now on, when a user changes their email address there username will also change but only if they where the same before the change was requested. This will now keep most user accounts username and email address in sync but still allow for more quirky situations where two or more people could be sharing the same email address but still have separate accounts with different usernames.
Manage services “comment” column moved to “extras” page
In the admin interface on the “Manage services” page there used to be a column displayed called “comment”, this has now been removed from that view and placed on the “extras” page.
Registration details not lost if security code (“captcha”) incorrect
When a user tried to register on your site and failed to type in the correct “captcha” verification code the details they had filled in would disappear as the form would be cleared. This has now been resolved which will mean a smoother registration journey for end users.
Correct the date on cancellation note
Cancelling a reservation on the behalf of your customer should now add a diary entry in the correct day of the reservation rather than the day when you cancelled the reservation.
Add reference to reservation to cancellation note so it doesn’t appear in calendar inappropriately
Cancelling a reservation on the behalf of your customer should now add a diary entry in the correct day of the reservation rather than the day when you cancelled the reservation and correctly push this to your calendar.
